Pregnancy Yoga & Birth Prep
Pregnancy yoga supports the growing needs of the pregnant body during all three trimesters, creating a balance between the emotional, mental, and physical changes that pregnancy brings. Based on traditional yoga asanas (postures), breath-work, and meditation, everything taught is adapted to be safe for mum and baby.
Postures focus on strengthening, aligning and relaxing specific areas of the body that experience extra tension during pregnancy - such as lower back, hips and pelvis; breathing techniques encourage a connection between the breath and mind, to help to bring focus not only during pregnancy but also for labour; and meditation allows time for stillness and reflection.
Each week, along with our breath work, movement & meditations, we also share birth stories, discuss pregnancy & birth topics, and more. Classes are taught in a relaxed and open environment, where everyone is encouraged to share and learn from each other.
Classes run in monthly blocks, with a drop-in option also available.
With a dedicated Class Whats App Group and regular Walk and Talk Meet Ups, these classes are more than yoga! They are designed to help you find connections and community, and mama friends for life!
